摘要
混合隐喻是隐喻研究的前沿课题。但现有研究存在不足:包括缺乏统一的界定和分类;忽视发话者的意向因素;研究相对零散,缺少统一的理论模型。针对现有不足,借助新兴的刻意性隐喻理论及其话语、思维和交际三维分析范式,对混喻进行分类和解析,研究发现:以交际者的交际意向为标准,可将混喻分为刻意性和非刻意性两大类;话语维度为混喻的刻意性提供识别标记;思维维度可以解释混喻的内部认知机制;交际维度能够解释混喻的语境因素和交际效果。三个维度有机结合,旨在为混喻研究提供相对综合的理论模型。
Mixed metaphor has attracted increasing scholarly attention in recent years.But a review of existing research reveals that a unified definition and categorization,and a comprehensive explanatory model are lacking.Moreover,the deliberateness of mixing metaphors by the addressers has been neglected.The present paper attempts to offers a three-dimensional scritinization of mixed metaphors,incorporating discursive,conceptive,and communicative levels.It is found that mixed metaphors can be classified into deliberate and non-deliberate ones,and each has markers on the discursive level.Moreover,the paper also analyses the conceptual mechanism and pragmatic effects of mixed metaphors.The three-dimensional analysis is hoped to shed new light on the pervasive phenomenon of mixed metaphors.
