在交响乐创作过程中,最基本、最重要的创作问题是主题构造形态的表现力问题,格鲁吉亚作曲家吉雅·坎切利交响曲作品的歌谣式主题以其鲜明的音响特征区别于其他交响乐作品。坎切利对于纵向音高的设计所采用的并不是功能性和声体系,而是在调中心与调式控制之下的一种音块式音响体,在音块式音响体呈现的过程中逐渐叠加,将其复杂化。这种非功能性和声的处理方式是建立在歌谣式主题之上的。
In the process of symphony creation, the most basic and important creative problem is the expressive power of the theme structure. The ballad theme of the Georgian composer Giya Kancheli's symphony is distinguished from other symphonic works by its distinctive acoustic features. Kancheli’s design of the vertical pitch is not a functional harmony system, but a tone cluster system under the control of the tonal center and mode, to overlay and complicate it gradually in the process of the tone cluster system. This non-functional harmony is handled on the theme of the ballad.
