The brilliant American stage creation in 2018 might be summed up by "reconstructing"and "integrating". "Reconstructing" means artistically reconstruct life, which is embodied in performing the classical works on stage again; and connecting originals to the social problems at present. On the other hand, "Integration" is the mutual reflection of different performing styles, the interaction between the mainstream and the alternative, as well as the multiply and complementary evaluation criteria for awards. Although American theatre is often criticized for its commercial orientation, the brilliant repertoires that stand out on American stage every year are still expected by theatre fans all over the world.
