王孟英与《洄溪医案》的刊刻

Wang Mengying and the Inscription of Hui Xi Yi An

徐大椿《洄溪医案》是历代医案中的一部重要著作,对于学习、研究徐大椿的医学临床经验和学术水平有着无可替代的价值。该书在徐氏生前未能刻印,后经王孟英推动,由许楣、吴葆山校阅,海宁蒋光焴于咸丰五年(1855)刊刻。上海中医药博物馆藏有王孟英致蒋光焴的一通信札,通过考证,可以详细得知蒋光焴刻印该书过程中,许、吴二人校阅详情,以及王孟英所扮演的角色;同时通过探讨王孟英获得《洄溪医案》原稿的途径以及推动该书刻印的动机,可以考察王氏对于清代部分医书流传所起到的重要作用。

Hui Xi Yi An(《洄溪医案》Medical Cases of Hui Xi) by Xu Dachun is of great significance among all the works of medical cases through the ages. It has irreplaceable value for studying and researching Xu Dachun’s clinical medical experience and academic level. However, this book was unable to be engraved during his lifetime. After Wang Mengying gave impetus to it, the book was proofread by Xu Mei and Wu Baoshan, and was engraved by Jiang Guangyu from Haining in the fifth year of Xianfeng(1855). The letter that Wang Mengying had written to Jiang Guangyu was collected in the Shanghai Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through the research, more details can be learned about the revision by Xu Mei and Wu Baoshan and Wang Mengying’s role during Jiang Guangyu’s inscription for this book. This article also explores the approach that Wang Mengying applied to obtain the original manuscript of the Medical Cases of Hui Xi and his incentive for promoting its inscription. On the basis of it we can examine Wang’s important role in the spread of certain medical books of the Qing Dynasty.
