摘要
当代美国英语语料库(COCA)可以作为语料标尺,检测我国原创科技类纪录片的字幕翻译是否符合解说词的书面化和人物同期声的口语化要求。通过检索解说词与人物同期声例句中的词汇表达在COCA五大语域的分布特点与使用频率,发现近年涉及科技话题的央视双语纪录片《走遍中国》的字幕翻译在用词选择以及地道表达上尚有不足。
The article is supposed to detect whether the subtitle translations of scientific and technological documentary by Chinese media correspond with the variation of register such as written commentaries and colloquial sound bites by using the Corpus of Contemporary American English(COCA). Words and phrases are to be retrieved from the angles of five registers to conclude their distributions and usage frequencies. In addition, with the assistance of quantitative analysis by COCA, it is intended to illustrate the cognition that the word selection and authentic expressions of English subtitle in CCTV’s Across China has not achieved a fulfilled completion yet.
