摘要
文章在对石家庄公示语英译现状进行调查的基础上,提出了公示语文本类型三分法,及每种文本类型的英译策略;针对实证调查中频繁出现的英译失误,进一步提出公示语英译应遵循的两准则:语义对等及语法正确。
Based on an empirical survey of the English translations of public signs in Shijiazhuang area, and combining specific cases, the present research maintains a three division of text types of public signs and analyzes the translation strategies specific to each type. Regarding the frequently-seen errors, the author furthermore proposes two rules to follow.
