For the companies that have already invested or been interested in Brazilian power industries,it is significantly important for them to be familiar with local market,as well as the study and research of related regulations.This paper focuses on the interpretation of ANEEL regulatory resolution No.729 and No.782,where key items associated with PV deductions are selected,translated and explained with examples.These illustrations will help the understanding of how Brazilian power regulators control the quality in power transmission.In addition,the case study indicates that the chartered transmission companies should adopt flexible operation and maintenance strategies to reduce potential PV deductions according to the requirements in regulations in Brazil.
