翻译研究元话语多种“转向论”之中庸观反思

A Reflection upon “Turns” of Translation Studies' Meta-discourses: From the Perspective of the Doctrine of Mean

在开辟研究视野的同时,各种"转向"也为翻译研究带来元话语风险。该风险指向一种负面的效应:在"转向"的搅动下,研究者被作茧自缚、迷己逐物的惯性带入"心为物转"的困境,导致学理思维的困惑与混乱。本文重拾儒家的中庸思想,通过论证得出结论:研究者应秉持中庸观,通过"反求诸其身"的路线,在"未发之中"的支点上,在"发而中节"的张力中阻止翻译学界"心为物转"的元话语风险,使研究者走向"心能转物"的状态,以助其获得自主性与位置感,释放强大的人本潜能。对于主要由西方学界主导的诸多"转向",源于中国式智慧的中庸观开出一剂对治认知弊病、改善研究思维的"中药"。

Expanding research horizons,“turns” cause a meta-discourse risk of translation studies,which is leading to a negative effect: stirred by “turns”,researchers become self-trapped,material-obsessed,thus falling into the mind-whirled-by-material plight,producing academical bewilderment and confusion.From the perspective of the Doctrine of Mean,a traditional Confucian value,this paper reaches one conclusion: researchers need to hold the Doctrine of Mean;following an inward retrospection,standing on an emotion-free pivot,negotiating in an well-controllable tension;they are able to diminish the “turns” risk and establish an access to the “turns” model,thus rewarded with an independent positioning sense,creating a source of released humanistic power.For “turns”,which are mainly dominated by Western academical discourses,the Doctrine of Mean,originated from Chinese traditional wisdom,prescribes a cure for cognitive remedy and academic improvement.
