The call of the wild is a representative work of jack London. Based on the gold rush in the 19th century in America and featuring buck, a dog who lives in the south and has been baptized by modern civilization, it tells the story that buck was sold by dog dealers to the north to pull a sleigh, and finally recovered from the wild land and returned to wolves. Different from the traditional analysis of works from ecology and imagology, this paper mainly analyzes the narrative perspective in works from the perspective of narratology, and discusses the artistic effects achieved.
