五四运动是改变中国命运的一场运动,其蕴含的五四爱国精神已成为中华民族不朽的精神遗产。五四爱国精神蕴含丰富的内涵:从历史角度看,它体现了中华儿女的优秀民族情感;从政治角度看,它意味着坚决地彻底地反帝反封建;从文化角度,它意味着批判传统,倡导民主与科学;从实践角度,它意味着团结民众,改造社会。五四爱国精神在当代仍然具有重要的价值:有利于坚定社会主义理想信念、有利于增强全民主人翁意识、有利于增强民众的爱国责任感、有利于坚持改革开放、有利于推动建设社会主义现代化强国。新时代青年要进一步传承和发扬五四爱国精神,牢牢坚持党的领导,坚决捍卫祖国领土和主权的完整,弘扬中国特色社会主义文化,坚持以人民为中心。

The patriotism of the May Fourth Movement still has important value in the contemporary era. It is conducive to strengthen socialist ideals and beliefs, enhance the awareness of the entire democratic people, enhance the patriotic sense of responsibility of the people, persist in reform and opening up, and promote the building of a socialist modernization power.
