General and Special Characteristics of Chinese Literature in Europe

欧洲华文文学具有双重边缘与跨国流动、双重疏离与身份认同等与其他各洲华文文学相类似的一般特点,而儿童文学、侦推小说类型和戏剧等体裁的开拓、双语写作的成功以及温和内敛的文学精神等,又使欧洲华文文学具有了一定的独特性。因此,运用多种体裁和多样类型的双语写作、采取超越二元对立的三元论方法、融合中西文化精髓并关注人类共同命运的普世写作,成为欧洲华文文学有别于其他地区华文文学的特征,同时也为其他地区的华文作家提供了极好的借鉴经验。

Chinese literature in Europe features the general characteristics of double marginality and transnational mobility, double alienation and identity, which are similar to those of Chinese literature in other continents. At the same time, it also features the special characteristics formed by the development of literary genres such as children’s literature, detective fiction and drama, the success of bilingual writing and the mild and introverted literary spirit. Therefore, the Chinese literature in Europe is characterized by the bilingual writing of various genres and types, as well as the trialism instead of dualism, and the integration of the essence of Chinese and Western cultures to focus on the common destiny of mankind, which is different from those in other regions, setting good examples for Chinese writers in other parts of the world.
