Ethical Interpretation of Modernity

对现代性的批判是麦金太尔道德哲学关注的焦点话题。厘定现代性的问题域是理解和把握麦金太尔现代性批判思想的必要前提。麦金太尔从历史视角出发对现代性进行了伦理解读,将其确定为断裂、否定和冲突的现代性,实则从伦理的层面指出了现代性的诟病所在,同时影射了现代社会中传统断裂、自我疏离、相对主义盛行的现代性危机。

Criticism of modernity is the focus of Macintyre′s moral philosophy. Defining the problem domain of modernity is the prerequisite for understanding and grasping Macintyre′s critical thought of modernity, for he interpreted modernity ethically from a historical perspective and customized it as modernity of breaking, negation and conflict. In fact, he pointed out the criticism of modernity from the ethical level, and at the same time alluded to the modernity crisis of traditional breaking, self-alienation and relativism prevailing in modern society.
