Comparative Analysis of the Chapters on Commerce in Three Different Chronicles of Shanghai

上海是全国的经济中心,商业是上海地方志记述的重要内容。综观上海民国、首轮和二轮新方志的商业编章,有鲜明的时代特点,也有传承和发展,但也存在遗憾与不足。随着改革开放的深入,记述内容日益丰富,修好商业编章,修志人员必须转变观念,改进工作,加强学习。

Given that Shanghai is the economic center of China, commerce is among the indispensable parts of its local chronicles. In both of the first and the second editions of the Shanghai Chronicles during the Republic of China era, the concerned chapters are updated and featured with the then times. Yet there is room for improvement. The ever - furthering Reform and Opening - up inspires more worthwhile to be recorded. In that case, the editors are obliged to strengthen and broaden their minds.
