Conduct In-depth Academic Research into the Nature of Local Chronicles

方志性质是方志理论研究的核心和方志学的立足点与奠基石。自20世纪80年代以来,关于方志性质的研讨,经历了一个"之"字型。《地方志工作条例》颁布前,方志性质研讨十分热络,出现几十种不同观点,"资料性著述"说渐成主流认识。《条例》对方志性质给出工作定义后,方志性质研讨明显"降温"。之后,方志性质的学术研究持续,但热情远逊于前。其实,还有相当多的课题需要研究。

The nature of local chronicles is a central subject in the theoretical research into local chronicles,as well as an anchor point and cornerstone of this discipline.Since the 1980s,the debates over their nature have been evolving in a zigzag pattern.Prior to the promulgation of Regulations on the Work of Local Chronicles("Regulations"),the nature of local chronicles had been a much debated topic over which there were dozens of divergent views.But later on,"informative compilation" gradually emerged as a prevailing perspective.After the concept was defined in the "Regulations,"the debates clearly"died down."People continue their research into it,albeit with far less enthusiasm.But in fact,there are still quite a few topics yet to be researched.
