乡镇志是地方志书的重要组成部分。梳理上海市乡镇街道村志编纂的历史和现状,可以看出在上海方志发展史上,乡镇志的编修不仅起源较早,且数量较多,在上海乃至全国都占有重要的地位。新形势下,全面开展全市乡镇街道村志的编修,不仅是地方志事业科学发展的需要,也是完善上海地方志大数据库,打造地方志工作"志库""知库""智库"的需要。在上海各区志书基本完成的条件下,积极部署、做好规划,指导、协调、组织、服务好各乡镇、街道和村落的志书编修,功在当代,利在千秋。

Township chronicle is an important part of local chronicles.Viewing the compilation history and status quo of chronicles of townships,sub-districts and villages in Shanghai,one could see that,compilation of township chronicle,with early origin and large amount,plays an important role in Shanghai and even the whole country.In the new situation,compilation of township,sub-district and village chronicles in the whole city is needed not only to develop chronicles in a scientific way,but also to improve the big data of Shanghai chronicles and create the"chronicle base","knowledge base"and"think tank"for the chronicle compilation.With chronicle compilation of all districts basically finished,active deployment and good planning,guidance,coordination,organization and service of the chronicle compilation of all townships,sub-districts and villages in Shanghai is a cause contributing to contemporary times and bringing benefits for future centuries.
