The material balance algorithm is the most widely used method in chemical project environmental impact assessment engineering analysis.According to the process route, production scale and raw material consumption of the construction project, this method USES the law of mass conservation to calculate the pollutant discharge, which has certain pertinence and operability.This paper introduces the concrete concept and main steps of the material balance algorithm, and takes the production process of the new product of a chemical enterprise as an example, calculates the waste water, waste gas and solid waste generated by the material balance algorithm.
