With the advancement of technology,New Media blossoms rapidly, becoming an indispensable part of people s life. This has generated huge impact on people at all ages– children are no exception.Such impact on children is reflected on many aspects including biological development, sensory ability, cognition, mindset and language expression. However, due to poor self-control and judgment, such impact can be negative if cannot be handled properly, making the New Media a double-edged sword.Only when media workers stick to the philosophy of“Child-oriented”to speed up the process of media scientization, professionalization and precision, parents follow the principle of moderate and reasonable guidance, schools emphasize media literacy education as well as cyber security and moral education, then the limitation of New Media would be efficiently offset, making a better media environment for children.
