Interpretation of English-Chinese Film Lyrics Translation From the Perspective of Iconicity

歌词是诗歌的一种特殊的表达方式,影视歌曲则更为特殊。在此类翻译中,除了要让歌词节奏与音乐相匹配,内容与背景相结合,还需简洁明了,形象生动。原作与译作不仅要符合认知结构,还要使其内容相互照应。试从象似性角度出发,以广泛受关注的影视歌曲为例,从语音象似、顺序象似和数量象似这三个方面来对现有的汉译歌词进行研究解读,使其构成一种全新的"翻译三角"。

Lyric is another expression of poetry, while film song is more special. In this kind of translation, lyrics should be matched with music rhythm, the content and background need to be combined, and the songs must be vivid. The original and translated works should not only conform to the cognitive structure, but also serve as reference for each other. From the perspective of iconicity, this paper tries to interpret the existing Chi-nese - translated lyrics from three aspects: phonological iconicity, sequence iconicity and quantitative iconicity, taking the widely concerned film songs as an example, so as to form a brand - new "translation triangle".
