Application of TOFD in Inspecting Butt Weld of Unequal Thicknesses to Meet Requirements in ASME Code

针对按ASME要求制作的化工设备中特定不等厚结构形式的对接焊接接头的TOFD检测,可根据规范的要求,制作校验试块和模拟试块,选择适当的检测工艺和器材进行调校并演示验证。通过计算的方法对深度误差予以修正,可以得到满意的效果,同时应用于工程检测实践。

With respect to TOFD inspection used for unequal thicknesses butt weld which is required to conform to ASME code,calibrating and demonstrating blocks were fabricated and appropriate inspection process and devices, which were adjusted and validated, were selected. With calculation method, the error in depth was adjusted to obtain satisfied results, which can be applied in engineering practice.
