Wordsworth’s Poetry Proposition in the Preface of the Lyrical Ballads

作为英国湖畔派诗人的代表,华兹华斯的诗歌主张集中体现在《抒情歌谣集》的序言中:第一,诗歌是情感和理性的综合,理性的沉思能够调整情感的内容和发展方向;第二,诗歌要表现自然人性,而日常生活最能体现自然人性,因此诗人要着眼于日常生活中的题材;第三,诗歌语言应该打破形式上的陈规,和它所表现的自然人性协调一致;第四,肯定想象力在诗歌创作中的重要作用。

As a representative of the British Lake poets,Wordsworth's poetry proposition is concentrated on the Preface to the Lyrical Ballads:First,poetry is a combination of emotion and rationality,and rational meditation can adjust the content and the direction of emotions;Secondly,poetry should express the natural humanity,and daily life can well reflect natural humanity.Therefore,poets should focus on the theme of daily life.Thirdly,poetry language should break the stereotype of form and be in harmony with the natural humanity it represents.Fourthly,the great importance of the imagination in poetic creation should be affirmed.
