To Obtain the Meaning, to Meet Another Mind, and to Everyone’s Delight:On a Hermeneutic Path in Chinese Literature and Art

中国文艺的阐释路径的独特之处在于,它只能发生在一个文化场域中的共同在场,在共同在场中,形成默契与共识,而阐释就发生在这种默契与共识之中;在文化熏陶中形成的同在、同感、同情、同心、同德,是阐释得以发生、交流得以可能的条件;对文本本意与作家本意的阐释,并不是阐释的最终目的,阐释作为一种交往手段,它致力于交往的皆大欢喜式的效果,心心相印、皆大欢喜,才是中国式的阐释路径。

The peculiarity of the hermeneutic path of Chinese literature and art lies in that it could only happen in the co-presence of participants from one same cultural field,wherein tacit agreement or consensus is reached and interpretation emerges.The emergence of interpretation and the exchanges of ideas are premised upon the common feeling and compassion,the shared mentality and virtue on the part of all the agents in a specific cultural context.It is not the ultimate goal to interpret the meanings of texts and the real intentions of the authors.As a means of communication,Chinese literary and artistic interpretation aims to bring about a communicative effect that satisfies all and fosters a mutual affinity.
