Embracing Nature Dali Munwood Panorama Resort Hotel

"慢屋·极目"是IDO元象建筑近年在云南大理完成的第二个"慢屋"系列的设计型酒店,该项目是基于不同标高上下两院农宅的旧建筑改造.设计尊重原有聚落的肌理,关注建筑与场所的"锚固":注重建筑与地形、建筑与聚落以及新旧建筑之间关系的处理。公共空间、客房空间的设计则强调使用者与自然风景之间多维度空间体验的建立,小钢屋的建造尝试了新的结构体系,其本质上是一次以体验自然为出发点的建造实验。

Munwood Panorama is the second design hotel that Init Design Office(IDO) completed for the brand of Munwood in Dali, Yunnan, which was repurposed from a rural residence comprising two blocks with different elevations. The design respects the local built environment and focuses on dealing with the relationships between architecture and site’s terrain, architecture and neighborhood, as well as the old and the new. The design of communal spaces and guest rooms centres on creating multi-dimensional interactions between guests and the surrounding natural scenery, and the small steel-framed room features a new structural system. In essence, the project is a construction experiment that aims at embracing nature.
