Analysis of YE Xichun's Experience in Treating Edema from Triple Energizer

[目的]探讨近代浙江省名中医叶熙春治疗水肿的学术经验。[方法]通过翻阅并研读叶熙春的相关存世医学著作,选取其中典型水肿案例三则,结合经典文献以及历代医家的相关论述,总结、概括叶熙春从三焦论治水肿的经验。[结果]通读《叶熙春专辑》,选取案例三则,一为肺卫郁闭,治以开宣肺气、佐利水道;二为脾虚水泛,治以扶脾理气、崇土制水;再则为火衰水停,治以暖肾通阳、温脾化饮。叶熙春从三焦论治水肿的经验之要可概括为,详查三焦气机利与不利贯穿全程,注意肺气郁滞与否,肾阳脾阳气化健运与否;兼观病之由来,患者体质如何,且以培补先后天以巩固疗效,主张阴阳平和,药至病所,攻伐无过。[结论]名中医叶熙春从三焦论治水肿,疗效肯定,其经验值得学习、推广。

[Objective] To explore the academic experience of the famous Chinese medicine doctor YE Xichun in treatment of edema.[Methods] Through reading and studying YE Xichun’s related biomedical works, and three cases of typical edema were selected, combined with the classic literature and related theories of the past doctors, YE Xichun’s experience in treating edema from triple energizer was summarized.[Results] Through reading the"YE Xichun Album", three cases were selected. First one was retention of lung Qi, treated with releasing lung Qi, and opening waterway;the second was water diffusion due to deficiency of spleen, treated with reinforcing spleen and regulating Qi, and supporting soil and restraining water;the third one was fire stagnation and water retention, treated with warming kidney to dredge Yang and warming spleen to resolve retained fluid. YE Xichun’s experience in treating edema from triple energizer can be summarized as a detailed investigation of the advantages and disadvantages of the circulation mechanism of Qi in triple energizer. And attention should be paid to whether the lung Qi is stagnation or not, and whether the kidney spleen and Yang Qi stagnation is healthy or not. The origin of the disease, the patient’s physical condition needs to be taken into account, at the same time, supplement the innate and acquired Qi with efficacy, regulation of Yin and Yang should be considered, so as to achieve good results.[Conclusion] YE Xichun, the famous Chinese doctor, had a positive effect on the treatment of edema from triple energizer, and his experience is worthy to study and promotion.
