In order to promote the application of the essence of Confucian excellent thought in the ideological and political education in universities,this paper analyzes the three most representative aspects of Confucian thought,and causes its value en- lightenment to the ideological and political education work in universities. Focusing on the innovation trend of education and teaching under the background of the new era,this paper analyzes the concrete path of giving full play to the value of Confucian excellent traditional thoughts in ideological and political education in universities,and strives to improve the pertinence,effec- tiveness and infectivity of ideological and political education work in and universities.
