受女权主义思潮影响的阿加莎·克里斯蒂创作的侦探马普尔小姐颠覆了传统的铁血英雄的男性侦探形象,她利用自己独特的女性视角和思维破解谜案,与男侦探的理性与科学破案截然不同。另一方面,受自身成长背景所约束的阿加莎却没能大胆突破,将女性"男性化"或"英雄化",只能将机智的马普尔小姐束缚在垂暮之年的老太太身上。

Having influenced by feminist movement, Agatha Christie created a female detective—Miss Marple who solved mysteries through her distinguished insights, which is quite different from the reasoning and science in male detectives’ case solving. However, owing to her own life experiences, she couldn’t really create a hardboiled female detective to fight against other male detectives in the literary world dominated by male authors;instead, the smart detective Miss Marple was confined in a weak old lady.
