当代中国佛教音乐的创新与跨文化传播——基于红安天台寺的田野研究 被引量:1

摘要 21世纪初,国内音乐理论界曾有过一起围绕音乐是否具备教化功能的小规模学术争论。纵观当代中国佛教音乐的理念与实践,其中通常都包含着比较明确的道德教育思想。由此,基于对红安天台寺这座汉传佛教寺院发展禅乐文化的田野调查,以那起争论的核心——音乐是否承载道德担保——为逻辑起点,从田野个案中僧人的"他者"眼光出发,将"天台禅乐"这一有所创新的佛教音乐样式同世俗音乐进行再比较,发现社会现代性语境下的当代中国佛教音乐表现出区别于世俗音乐的教化观念。禅乐在僧人自身修行和寺院对外弘法两个维度上同时发挥着重要作用,进而在释、俗两种社会文化语境之间架设起一座独特的交流之桥。 In the beginning of 21 st century,there was a small-scale academic debate on whether music has an educational function in the field of music theory within China. Throughout the conception and practice of Buddhist music in modern China,a correct moral education thought is always included. Based on this,a field research was carried out on the fact that the Tiantai Temple in Hong’an County,a Mahayana Buddhist temple,promotes the culture of Zen music. Then,re-comparison was made between "Tiantai Zen Music"which is the innovative contemporary Buddhist music style and secular music with the core of the debatewhether music carries moral guarantee-as the logical starting point from the perspective of "The Other"of the monks in the field cases. The result shows that the Chinese Buddhism music in the context of social modernity holds a different view on enlightenment with secular music. Zen music plays a distinctive role in self-practice of monks and the promotion of Buddhism by temples to the external, building a unique bridge of communication between two social and cultural contexts of Buddhism and secularism.
