摘要
二语学习者在阅读过程中会附带的习得一些词汇,称为伴随性词汇习得。但是在汉语作为第二语言的习得研究中,伴随性词汇习得究竟如何发生,以及哪种词汇加工方式会更利于伴随性词汇习得并无明确结论。本文通过调查韩国初、中级留学生在阅读中加工生词的方式,试图揭示汉语伴随性词汇习得的过程,并调查不同的词汇加工方式对词汇学习的影响。通过阅读理解测试及访谈,研究者首先记录分析了韩国受试在阅读中处理生词的主要方式和方法。一周后,受试再次接受测验,检查他们在阅读中获得的词汇知识是否能有效保持。结果表明查词典和推测词义这两种能产型的学习策略是受试常用的词汇处理方式。从生词测试结果来看,两种方式各有优缺点。本文的结果有助于加深对汉语词汇习得的理解,能够为对外汉语词汇教学提供指导意义。
Incidental vocabulary learning occurring in reading benefits second language vocabulary acquisition.However, there is no consensus in the current research on the acquisition of Chineseas an L2 as regards the processand effectiveness of incidental learning.This study examines the strategies used in processing new words by intermediate Korean learners of Chinese purporting thereby to shed light on the process underlying the incidental learning of Chinese vocabulary and to provide an assessment of the effect of different strategies.Through structured interviews and cued word-recall tasks including a delayed test,we tracked and evaluated the L2 learners' performances and retention rates.The results showed that our learners frequently used inference and dictionaries when faced with a new word.Their performance in retention tests revealed that these strategies are effective in different situations.Our findings provide some insights to L2 Chinese lexical acquisition and offer some implications for the teaching of vocabulary in TCSOL.
