Urban Regeneration: How to Integrate New Buildings into Its Surroundings in the Visual Dimension

由于现阶段经济的飞速发展,高楼大厦成为城市的主角,千城一面的问题日益凸显。因此,在城市化进程的大环境下,如果处理不当,极易造成区域建筑肌理进化的断层和固有地域文化被掩盖或者遗忘,使得城市环境趋于同化,失去个性。因此,建筑师需要寻找一个平衡点,这个平衡点应该既能传承区域特有的建筑环境文化,又能突出当代的建筑应用理念,实现城市的有机发展[1]。本研究在城市更新的背景下,专注建筑外立面的视觉体验,通过分析相关案例,讨论并提出新建建筑与周围环境融合的城市更新策略,希望能促进我国城市更新过程趋向有机性和本土性。

With rapid development of the economy in China in the 21st century, high-rise buildings have becoming a leading role in the urban, and the problems of the one-sided city have become increasingly prominent. Therefore, in the context of urbanization, if handled improperly, the faults and intrinsic regional cultures that are likely to cause regional architectural texture evolution may be concealed or forgotten, and the urban environment tends to be assimilated and loses its personality. Thus, the architects and urban designer should find the balance between cultural inheritance and regional modernization. This research will focus on the case studies around the world to explore and summarize the strategy about how to integrate new buildings into its surroundings in the visual dimension. In the process of China’s urban regeneration, this strategy will not only make the memory of the region continue, but also satisfy people’s needs of contemporary activities and visual-aesthetic.
