Yu Xiusong’s Contribution to the Communist Party of China Around the May 4th Movement

俞秀松深受新文化运动的影响,在五四运动前后,思想经历了从启蒙转向救亡,从“利己”到“利他”的深刻转变,其身份也从激进的民主主义者转向了信仰马克思主义的共产主义者,为中国共产党早期党团组织的创建,做出了杰出贡献。

Influenced by the New Culture Movement, Yu Xiusong transferred his identity from a radical democrat to a communist that believes in Marxism, and shifted his ideology from enlightenment to salvation, from selfishness to altruism before and after the May 4th Movement. Yu Xiusong made outstanding contributions to the establishment of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Youth League in the early period.
