Five Research Paradigms of the Handicrafts of Ethnic Minorities in South China

南方少数民族手工艺种类繁多,学界对南方少数民族手工艺的研究从其不同属性入手,主要有5种研究范式,即“艺术—审美”研究范式、“艺术—历史”研究范式、“民族—艺术”研究范式、“民族—经济”研究范式、“科学—技术”研究范式等,分别体现南方少数民族手工艺的审美性、历时性、民族性、时代性、技术性特点。不同范式内囊括独立性、交叉性等不同层面的理论与方法。在具体的研究中,不同范式之间也存在交叉与融合。

The handicrafts of southern minorities in china shows a wide variety of types. Research studies into this are usually carried out according to different properties which makes five different researching paradigms, namely Art-Esthetics, Art-History, Nationality-Art, Nationality-Economy and Science-Technology. And respectively they embody the aesthetic, the diachronism, the character of the times, the nationality and the technicality of the handicrafts of southern minorities in China. The five paradigms shows independence of each single one, and overlaps among some as well. Meanwhile, there are overlaps and fusions among different paradigms in a specific research.
