“才子佳人”真的幸福吗?——来自CFPS的经验证据

Are “Gifted Scholars and Beautiful Ladies” Really Happy?——An Empirical Analysis Based on the Data of CFPS

使用2014年的中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)数据,从"才子佳人"这一视角出发,描述过去六十年中国婚姻市场匹配情况,并重点探究"才子佳人"对幸福感、婚姻满意度的影响以及夫妻社会经济因素匹配对幸福感的影响.结果表明,我国夫妻双方中丈夫幸福感显著高于妻子,城镇高于农村,且不同地区的夫妻幸福感也存在显著差异.通过对夫妻匹配的幸福感统计可知,过于极端的"才子佳人"得分,丈夫幸福感明显低于妻子.基于幸福感和"才子佳人"的关系进行的实证研究表明:"才子佳人"对幸福感具有积极影响,产生这一结果的机制在于"才子佳人"得分越高意味着夫妻双方彼此认可度较高以及越有能力面对家庭突发事件、减少家庭不和谐;而家庭中子女多、有男孩使得夫妻双方承担更多的经济压力,对夫妻的幸福感有显著负面影响.

By using the 2014 China Family Panel Studies ( CFPS) data, this paper describes the matching situation of Chinese marriage market in the past sixty yearsfrom the perspective of “gifted scholars and beautiful ladies”,and focuses on the impact of gifted scholars and beautifill ladiesM on happiness, marital satisfaction and the impact of couples9 social-economic factors on happiness. The calculated result shows that the happiness of husband is significantly higher than his wife, and the urban is higher than the rural areas. Meanwhile, there are significant differences in the happiness of couples in different regions. According to the statistics of happiness after matching couples,we can see that if the score of “gifted scholars and beautiful ladies” is extremely high, the husband's happiness is significantly lower than his wife's. By doing an empirical study on the relationship between happiness and the “ gifted scholars and beautiful ladies”,the result shows that the marriage combination of “gifted scholars and beautiful ladies” has a positive effect on happiness. And the mechanism for this result is that the higher score of the “gifted scholars and beautiful ladies” obtains, the higher recognization to each other couples have, and also the bigger ability to face family emergencies and reduce family disharmony. In addition, many children in the family, especially if they are boys, it will give couples more economic pressure and have a significant negative impact on happiness.
