大科学研究以追求确定性知识为指向,布尔以文化整体性的视角将逻辑与数学结合起来,可以给之以哲学的指引。布尔对传统逻辑的改造助长了科学脱离哲学的进程,但是并没有远离哲学。改造后的新逻辑仍然是理论进步的阶梯,这种改造的目的在于结合逻辑理论创新与其他学科的研究。布尔重视符号语言的逻辑研究,他通过逻辑的数学化来重释语言理解和表达的确定性,但是反对将符号语言的逻辑研究与自然语言割裂开来。布尔关于自然语言与符号语言的逻辑思考,饱含着对于人在语言应用过程中主体性地位的关照,他重视科学研究向人靠拢,使得其关于逻辑、数学与科学研究中饱含着人文关怀;布尔的立场与逻辑实证主义的统一科学思想相左,在他关于科学与哲学关系的立场中存在一个逻辑研究回归哲学的理论取向。

The great scientific research is guided by the pursuit of deterministic knowledge. Boole combines logic and mathematics from the perspective of cultural integrity,which can be guided by philosophy. Boole’s transformation of traditional logic has contributed to the process of science breaking away from philosophy,but not far from philosophy. The new logic after the transformation is still the ladder of theoretical progress. The purpose of this transformation is to combine the innovation of logic theory with the research of other disciplines. Boole emphasizes the logical study of symbolic language. He reinterprets the certainty of language understanding and expression through the mathematicalization of logic,but opposes the separation of the logical study of symbolic language from natural language. Boole’s logical thinking about natural language and symbolic language is full of care for the subjective status of human beings in the process of language application. He attaches importance to the closeness of scientific research to people,making him full of humanistic care in logic,mathematics and scientific research. The position is inconsistent with the unified scientific thought of logical positivism. In his position on the relationship between science and philosophy,there is a logical study of the theoretical orientation of returning to philosophy.
