Ganoderma lucidum is a kind of medicinal material of porous fungi,which has excellent medicinal value and health function. G. lucidum occupies an important position in our country’s history and culture. There are rich records about G. lucidum works,allusions,stories,cultural traditions,arts and so on in our country’s long history. Based on this,this paper gives a brief description of the history and culture of G. lucidum in China,and studies the influence of G. lucidum on today’s social life.
