From the perspective of river basin, the "environment-economy-society" composite system coupling coordination evaluation index system was constructed. The coupling coordination model was adopted to analyze the evolution trend of the"environment-economy-society" composite system coupling coordination degree in Jinsha River Basin(JRB) from 2001 to2016, and the spatial heterogeneity was analyzed by GIS and Theil index. The results showed that:(1) From the perspective of time sequence, the coupling coordination degree showed an general rising trend with the type of coupling coordination upgraded from threatened recession to good coordination in JRB.(2) From the perspective of spatial differences, the coupling coordination state of JRB had obvious regional differences, and the interior imbalance in the group was remarkable. The types of coupling coordination showed a successive evolution from triangular pattern, semi-encirclement pattern, center-periphery pattern to northwest-southeast pattern. It was suggested that JRB should take the road of global green development and lead the high-quality and coordinated development of the Yangtze River economic belt with high efficiency.
