隋唐长安城营建的木材消耗量研究

Study on Timber Consumption in Chang'an City in the Sui and Tang Dynasties

隋唐长安城是当时世界上最大的城市,拥有84平方公里的巨大面积和百万人口。木材是古代中国城市营建必不可少的建筑材料,建造规模如此宏大的城市需要消耗巨量的木材,但这方面的研究却一直处于空白。针对木材消耗量研究存在诸多难点,采用构建理想模型的方法,大大增加了研究的可行性。从建筑的木材消耗量这一崭新视角来重新审视隋唐长安城的都市营建,是对长安城市史研究的再认识,也为隋唐长安城市规划建设、都市经济发展、社会管理、人地关系等研究提供了新的角度,具有重要的理论和实践意义。

With 84 square kilometers and millions of population, Chang'an city in the Sui and Tang Dynasties was the largest one in the world at that time. Timber was an essential building material for the urban construction in the ancient China, the construction of such a large city requires a huge amount of timber, but the research on this aspect has been blank. There are many difficulties in the study of timber consumption, adopting the method of constructing ideal models greatly increases the feasibility of the research. This paper reexamines the urban construction of Chang'an city in the Sui and Tang dynasties from the perspective of timber consumption ,which is a recognition of the research on the history of Chang'an city, and provides a new perspective for the planning and construction of Chang'an city in the Sui and Tang dynasties, the study of the urban economic development, social management and the human-land relationship, etc., all has important theoretical and practical significance.
