Objective To explore the current status of physiological health-related quality of life and its influencing factors among migrant workers in Dongguan City. Methods A stratified random sampling method was used to select 740 migrant workers in Dongguan City, and 36-Item Short Form (SF-36) was employed to investigate their physiological health-related quality of life. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to identify the factors affecting physiological health-related quality of life in the migrant workers. Results The physical component summary score of the migrant workers in Dongguan City was (57.99±10.63). Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in household per capita monthly income, nutritional status, drinking, staying up late, satisfaction with living conditions, illness and experiencing negative events (all P<0.10). The regression equation had statistical significance (F=11.172, P<0.000 1, R2=0.243). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that household per capita monthly income, nutritional status, satisfaction of living conditions and illness (P<0.05) affected physiological health-related quality of life. Conclusions Household per capita monthly income, nutritional status, satisfaction of living conditions and illness affect the migrant workers’ quality of life related to physiological health in Dongguan City.
