On the Impossible Possibility: Heidegger’s Discussion on the Concept “Bevorstand” of Death

在日常生活中,人们对“死亡”总是讳莫如深,但它却是西方哲学热议的话题,其中尤以存在主义为甚。一直以来,海德格尔对“死亡”都有着辩证的理解,他认为,“死”是每个人都要面对的问题,但却又是任何人都无法真正领会的事情。只有抛弃对“时间”和“存在”的固有观念,先行到死中去,达成“生”与“死”、“存在”与“非存在”、“现在”与“将来”的“共在”,才能脱离常人、重获自由,成为本真“此在”,领悟人生的真正意义。

In normal life,people always avoid subjects about“death”,however it had been a hot topic in western philosophy,especially Existential Philosophy.All the time,Heidegger held a dialectical view about“death”namely it is a problem all human beings would face though,none could actually understand its essential meaning.Only if we abandon the stubborn ideas about“time”and“existence”,go ahead towards death,and accomplish the“being-with-others”of“life”and“death”,“existence”and“non-existence”,“present”and“future”,can we get rid of the“das Man”and regain freedom,so that we can eventually become the real“Dasein”,who has comprehended the true meaning of life.
