This paper conducts practical and teaching research on MODBUS communication protocol. Firstly, it points out the importance and role of MODBUS protocol, then analyzes the structure and communication principle of MODBUS frame, and then uses a communication project to analyze the detailed process and development code of MODBUS communication. Finally, the problems to be noted in MODBUS communication are pointed out and summarized, which has important reference value for the research and development of MODBUS project.
