This paper expounds the role of data librarians from the aspects of the post name of the librarian, the work content of the data librarian, the technical requirements of the data librarian, and analyzes the difference between the librarian and the subject librarian. It points out the key to the transformation of subject librarians to data librarians, and finally puts forward that strengthening the training of data librarians, formulating scientific data management norms, perfecting data service process and promoting talent introduction plan are important strategies for data librarians to remodel.
