Migration Makes a Better World:A Cultural Interpretation of Kader Abdolah’s Novel The House of Mosque

卡德尔·阿卜杜拉是荷兰当代最畅销小说家之一,也是伊朗海外文学的代表作家之一。他的小说《大巴扎》通过对伊朗现代革命和人民思想变迁的历史反思,表达了作者对人类善良本性的赞美,以及从该视角出发,为化解当代东西方冲突寻找出路的尝试。本文试图从历史文化的角度对该作品进行解读,展现作者在双重语境下所表现出的思想深度。

Kader Abdolah is one of the most popular contemporary novelists in Holland, and one of the representative writers of Iran overseas literature. His novel The House of Mosque praised the good nature of human being through the historical reflection on the modern Iranian revolution and the ideological change of its people, and further more try to find a solution for the cultural conflict between the Eastern and Western worlds. This paper intended to interpret this work from the historical and cultural perspective in order to show the depth of the author’s thought in a dual context.
