With the advancement of the society and the improvement of the people’s living standards, the demand for architectural functions is also changing. Starting with the reconstruction of existing buildings, this paper analyses the transformation mode and spatial structure of urban bookstores, and obtains the social status of urban bookstores and its impact on people. In the process of urban future development, urban bookstores will inevitably provide people with public cultural space.
