Type2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM),as the most common endocrine metabolic disease,is mainly caused by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors, and its incidence is increasing year by year.Intestinal microorganisms, also called intestinal flora,is the most complex and most abundant micro-ecological system in the human body.It establishes a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship with human organisms to maintain normal physiological responses such as immune response and metabolism. The intestinal flora is closely related to the occurrence and development of T2DM,and the potential mechanisms are receiving increasing attention. The correlation between intestinal flora and T2DM may provide a new direction for the prevention and treatment of T2DM.
