“Performing” is not only a well-known “performance” in the field of art, although it is traditionally related to theatrical art, but it is also an important part of daily life.To add the dimension of “the other” into social life, the meaning of “performing” has a sociological meaning.Throughout the theatrical circles of Shanghai during the 1911 Revolution, theatrical artists at that time not only performed on the stage, but also participated in the revolution personally, which extended the scope of performance to the whole society. In addition, this kind of social performance is also reflected in compiling new plays to adapt to the current situation and expecting to be favored by politicians to improve their status.
