Poetic Implication of Vico’s Metaphysics

作为对终极存在的追问,维柯的形而上学不是反思的而是创造的,它以"真理即创造"为原则,将神的真理与人的真理相互融会,其中充满了对诗性本源的强调。一方面,人的创造来源于灵魂的德性,想象力是创造之眼,人类的历史现实正是对这种创造原则的呈现;另一方面,天神意旨作为人类创造的永恒动力,凭借人类的自然本性引导人类走向普遍真理,好奇、想象等诗性因素成为人类创造的优先性方式。诗不仅是创造实在意义的本真方式,而且是通向永恒神意的光辉大道,维柯由此奠定了新的形而上学道路。

As an inquiry into the ultimate existence,Vico’s metaphysics is not a reflection but a creation.It takes "Truth Is Creation" as its principle and integrates God’s truth with human’s truth,which is full of emphasis on the poetic origin.On the one hand,human creation originates from the virtue of the soul,and imagination is the eye of creation.It is human historical reality that presents this principle of creation.On the other hand,as the eternal motive force of human creation,the will of God guides human beings towards universal truth by human nature,and poetic factors such as curiosity and imagination become the priority mode of human creation.Poetry is not only an authentic way to create real meaning,but also a glorious road to eternal divinity,Vico has thus laid a new metaphysical road.
