Tihu Jiegai Method in the Treatment of Amenorrhea

提壶揭盖法是用宣肺或升提的方法通利小便的一种借喻,而对下窍出现闭经则论述较少。本文从肺与经血的关系入手,认为肺参与营血之生成,月经的主要成分是血,肺气充足,经血才得以化生;肺如雾露之溉,通过宣发肃降使水谷精微下输于胞宫;肺通过宣发肃降推动气血的运行,参与了月经周期的调节。若肺宣降失司,气机壅滞,血行不利可致月经后期及闭经。提壶揭盖法可以通过宣发肺气,达邪出表,畅通一身气机,使下焦通利,是治疗闭经的有效方法之一。

Tihu Jiegai refers to a kind of metaphor for using the method of Xuanfei or lifting,and the use of amenorrhea for the lower jaw is less discussed.This article starts from the relationship between the lungs and menstrual blood,and believes that the lungs participate in the formation of blood,and the main component of menstruation is blood.Only the lungs are sufficient,the blood can be metamorphosed.The lungs are like fog and dew.Pulmonary essence is transfused to uterus through diffusion and descending.The lungs promote the movement of qi and blood through diffusion and descending,and participates in the regulation of menstrual cycle.If the lungs lose their function of diffusion and descending,stagnation of qi and unfavorable blood flow can lead to late menstruation and amenorrhea.Tihu Jiegai method can unobstruct the whole body qi,make the lower Jiao Tongli,which is one of the effective ways to treat amenorrhea.
