Hemorrhagic shock often occurs simultaneously with fractures. Hemorrhagic shock is related to systemic changes in human body, and fracture healing is a comprehensive process involved numerous factors in the body. Therefore in addition to the treatment of the fracture, its impact on fracture healing should also be taken seriously in the study of fractures after hemorrhagic shock. At present, the mechanism of poor fracture healing caused by blood loss is still elusive. We comprehensively review relevant clinical and basic researches in view of this easily overlooked clinical issue, aiming to provide a reference for dealing with patients with poor fracture healing after hemorrhagic shock clinically. It also inspired new research ideas for further research on the exact mechanisms of hemorrhagic shock and fracture healing.
