After the "9·11" terrorist attack, the United States and many western countries declared a "state of emergency", but the anti-terrorism war launched not only failed to restore life security, but also plunged international politics into a global state of emergency. As a literary narrative against the official mainstream ideology,"post 9·11" literature turns to the focus of Benjamin-style "state of emergency" caused by the terrorist attack and the war on terror, namely, the survival crisis in "dangerous times", the crisis of faith in the absence of God and the alienation crisis of the indifferent masses. This kind of Giorgio Agamben’s original thinking on the change of human life in the contemporary political pattern shows the humanistic concern and aesthetic value of "post 9·11" literature.
