摘要 相比于机械密封、填料密封、迷宫密封等传统密封形式,磁性液体密封具有“零”泄漏、耗能少和可靠性高的特点。目前,用于密封气体的磁性液体密封技术已经趋于成熟且具有稳定的商业应用。相比之下,用磁性液体密封技术来密封液体仍存在许多问题,随着纳米技术、医学技术以及海洋技术的进步,磁性液体密封液体技术有了更广阔的应用需求。本文就此技术的理论、实验以及结构方面的研究进展进行了详细的阐述,希望对于参与相关方面研究的科研人员以及此技术的发展有所帮助。 The latest progress in sealing liquid-medium with magnetic fluid was tentatively reviewed.The advantages of the magnetic fluid seal over the conventional ones included "zero" leakage,negligible wear-rate and long service-life.The discussions with specific examples focused on:i) the extensively studied theoretical subjects,for example,the stability at the interface of magnetic fluid and sealed liquid,and the influence of the realistic interfacial properties of the two fluids,such as the viscosity,relative velocity,surface tension and chemical reactions,on the leakage rate;ii) the hot-spot experimental studies,including but not limited to the sealed media of sea-water,lubricant-oil and blood;iii)the structural designs,involving modification,optimization and combination of conventional sealing structures.Moreover,the development trends,potential applications in frontier fields,technical problems and possible solutions were also briefly discussed in a thought-provoking way.
