Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of levothyroxine in the treatment of hyperthyroidism and its influence on serum FT3, FT4 and TSH. Methods 76 patients with hyperthyroidism admitted to our hospital from June 2017 to May 2018 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table grouping method, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was treated with methimazole tablets, while the observation group was treated with levothyroxine sodium tablets on the basis of the control group. The changes of serum FT3, FT4 and TSH levels and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups before treatment. Results There was no significant difference in serum FT3, FT4 and TSH between the two groups before treatment;after treatment, serum FT3, FT4 levels were significantly reduced and TSH levels were significantly increased in the two groups (P<0.05);after treatment, serum FT3, FT4 levels in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and TSH levels were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 92.11%(35/38) in the observation group, which was significantly higher than 71.05%(27/38) in the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusion Left thyroxine can significantly reduce serum FT3 and FT4 levels and promote TSH secretion in patients with hyperthyroidism. The clinical effect is definite and it can be widely used in clinic.
