英国著名作家格雷厄姆·格林的游记《没有地图的旅行》采用“凝视”的叙述策略,再现并构筑了非洲他者的异质化与属下性。《没有地图的旅行》的非洲书写代表了欧洲帝国权力话语所构建的知识体系中的关键环节——主体通过不断划定自身与“他者”的边界,强化非我族类者的“他者性”来定义具有优越性的文化身份。

By taking “gaze” as the narrative strategy,“Journey Without Maps”, the travel writing by distinguished British Writer Graham Greene, represents and constructs the heterogeneity and subalternity of “the other” in Africa. The African writing in the book indicates the key point to construct European knowledge hierarchy under the European imperial power discourse. The European suzerain tries to justify its superior cultural identity by drawing up the border with “the other”and reinforcing the “otherness” of those with different racial and cultural background.
